3 July

Today a few of us girls (Rebecca, Ellie, Eileen, and Alysha) had intended to go to lunch and have a stroll. Maybe peruse the west end of Glasgow and relax in the first sunny day we've had in a while (It finally got over 65!) But oh no, It was much more exciting than we'd imagined.

For lunch I found the most amazing restaurant. It's called The 78 and is described as a vegan cafe with peat burning fireplaces, high backed chairs, and live jazz music Sunday nights (http://www.the78cafebar.com/) their menu looked amazing and their food was fantastic. Not to mention it had the cutest atmosphere ever.

I had a crazy delicious hommemade veggie burger with baguette style bun, tomato relish, hand cut wedge french fries, a house salad with arugula and etc, plus a diet coke. And as a finale:

Ellie and I shared it - Talk about a fudgie wudgie. Chocolate almond and coffee cake. Vegan, nonetheless.

After lunch we went to a park to have a walk around. We played on a playground for a bit. As seen below:

Afterwards we kept walking when suddenly we heard crazy loud music coming from the distance. Walking a bit further we found a SNOWBOARDING COMPETITION. Yes, in the middle of the park they had brought in tons of snow and built ramps and jumps and there was a massive crowd dancing and drinking. It was insane. How many times have you walked through a park in July and ran into a snowboarding competition? Crazy. We were there for a few hours but I only took a few good pictures. The kids ranged in age from I kid you not right around 7 upwards.

Also, I'm still NEVER driving here. I am, however, moving here.
